OVERVIEW
|
|
We specialize in wildlife and cultural safaris on the Northern Circuit
of Tanzania, including visiting Serengeti National Park, Tarangire National
Park, Manyara National Park, Arusha National Park and the Ngorongoro
Conservation Area Authority.
For Wildlife Safaris we use Toyota Landcruisers and other 4WD vehicles,
highly modified to suit wildlife viewing and photography. Each vehicle has three
hatches, allowing clients to photograph comfortably. Guides are well trained
naturalists with years of guiding experience in Tanzania’s National Park and a
deep knowledge of wildlife spotting.
We also run combined safaris, which include wildlife as well as
cultural visits.

WHY VENTURE WITH SERENGETI SAFARIS
|
|
Because it is our clients who allow us to do what we love to do, your
business is very important to us, so we ensure that every aspect of your
Serengeti Safari is enjoyable. You will experience the best of Tanzania, the
most stunning wildlife theatre in the world. Watching the biennial wildebeest
migration in the Serengeti is like being at a National Geographic filming site.
The opportunity to be with native tribes who have lived thousand of years
without changing their culture is an extraordinary, once in a lifetime
experience.
To quote an American
family of five (the Cerfs, from Montclair New Jersey,) who went on Safari with
us last December, we had an extraordinary time touring with Eliyahu. It was
both a wildlife and a sociological safari. We had close viewing of elephants,
giraffes, wildebeest, zebras, vervet monkeys, rhinos, flamingos, hippos,
baboons, hyenas and even lions who were mating just yard from our vehicle, and
later, hunting a migrating train of zebra and wildebeest.
Eliyahu was a
delightful guide, with excellent language skills, an encyclopedic knowledge
about animal habitat and lifestyle, and a relaxed, kindly, amiable
interpersonal style that made him feel like a part of family right away. He
took us on truly extraordinary and memorable visit with the Toga, Hadzabe and Maasai
tribes. We spent hours with each, learning of their day to day existence, going
inside their huts and Bomas, and connecting with tribal members who kindness
and wisdom was striking.
Their family centered, non materialistic, basic
existence was inspiring and served as a humbling contrast to our privileged
American culture of excess and waste. Our 7, 11, and 13 years old children were
in awe and our oldest, a laconic, uneffusive fellow offered. This is the best
vacation I have ever had.
Thank you so much for bringing us. The camping
situations was most comfortable (set up by staff who arrived before us at each
location).
The food was delicious (they even managed delicious meals for
vegetarian in the family, e.g tomato ginger soup, cobbler deserts). Plenty of
safe bottled water as well as juices and sodas were available. No one got sick.
The whole experience far exceeded our hopes and expectations and we had be
happy to answer any questions potential clients might have about going on the
safari.

WHERE TO GO
|
|
Serengeti national Park
A wildlife theater for over 35 species, including elephant, rhino,
lion, leopard, cheetah, buffalo and many antelope species, it contains the
worlds best ecosystem for wildebeest migration.

Ngorongoro Crater
One of the worlds greatest wonders, it is an unbroken crater that can
be visited all year round, hosting more than 25,000 large mammals and more than
100 bird species.
Lake Manyara National Park
Lush forest, woodland, grassland and the lake itself is the home of
baboons, Blue Monkeys, girrafe, buffalo, lions, elephant, wildebeest and zebra.
Accessible all year \round, the lake filled with ground water streams from the
Ngorongoro highlands.
Tarangire National Park
Since the Tarangire river is the only source of water in the dry
season, this park is known for abundance of animals, who come to the park
during the dry season seeking water and food.
Arusha National Park
Very close to Arusha town, Arusha lies between the second highest
mountain in Tanzania (Mt. Meru, 15,000ft) and snow covered Mt. Kilimanjaro. The
principal elephant homeplace in the country, one can see zebra, wildebeest,
buffalo, giraffe, lion, leopard and many other species.

WHEN TO TRAVEL
|
|
July through November are the best months of experience the migration of
thousands of wildebeest in the Ngorongoro, Tarangire, and Lake Manyara National
Park. Tarangire National Park is abundant with wildlife because at that time it
contains the only water source and is surrounded by dry areas
